My team members and I have family and friends who have personally fought the battle against melanoma. We have been devastated to lose some of our loved ones to this disease and thrilled to have other family who were fortunate to win the war. The MSU Gran Fondo is our opportunity to get some skin in the game and provide hope for nearly 70,000 people in the U.S. expected to be diagnosed with melanomas of the skin this year.
Funds raised from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Gran Fondo support skin cancer awareness, prevention and research at MSU. These dollars are funding pilot studies – investigative, next-step research that tests findings and enables a scientific study to continue. In its first four years, the MSU Gran Fondo raised more than $640,000 for skin cancer awareness, prevention and research.
On June 22, 2019 the streets of West Michigan will be paved with good intentions. And here’s where we need your help. We've made a commitment to make the MSU Gran Fondo much more than a ride. My hope is that you will join us in supporting a mission that is more than skin deep. Team Monarch was formed to honor my sister Sue and to continue the battle against this disease. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to support skin cancer awareness, prevention and research at MSU. Together we can make a difference. Thank you!
