I ride for my friend Jerry Dobry! He has fought the battle with Skin Cancer for 4 long years, passing in February 2016. The journey was long…Jerry’s journey of surgeries, radiation, and chemo treatments has been longer than most skin cancer patients. He fought this disease with a good fight, even delivering jokes during the most difficult procedures. For many, the fight against skin cancer continues...
You likely know people who have personally fought the battle against cancer. Through modern treatments and much grace, some have survived. Others have not. The MSU Gran Fondo is my opportunity to get some skin in the game and provide hope for more than 3.5 million people in the U.S. expected to be diagnosed with skin cancer this year.
Funds raised from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Gran Fondo support skin cancer awareness, prevention and research at MSU. These dollars are funding pilot studies – investigative, next-step research that tests findings and enables a scientific study to continue. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to support skin cancer awareness, prevention and research at MSU.
On June 22, 2019, the streets of West Michigan will be paved with good intentions. And here’s where I need your help. I’ve made a commitment to make the MSU Gran Fondo much more than a 40 mile ride. My hope is that you will join me in supporting a mission that is more than skin deep. Together we can make a difference.
Thank you!
Andy
